SCHOOL BUS CRASH REPORTS 2007

Two Circle School Buses Crash
March 13, 2007

Two school buses were involved in accidents in the Circle School District Tuesday morning. The last accident involved the bus that was running as a replacement for the first bus that was wrecked.

It began around 7:20 Tuesday morning when a bus carrying three students was involved in an accident with a cattle truck in the area of NW 40th and state highway 196 NW of El Dorado. No one was injured in that accident, but a replacement bus was dispatched.

Around 8:20, the 2nd bus was rearended at NW 10th & state highway 196. There were at least 11 students on the bus this time, and according to the superintendent none were seriously injured. A semi-truck hit a pick-up, which then hit the school bus. Authorities believe heavy fog led to the 2nd accident.

The driver of the pick-up was transported to a local hospital.
