6 Slightly Hurt In Broward School Bus
Accident

LAUDERDALE LAKES A student was hit by a
Broward County school bus early Friday morning. The bus was filled with
students on the way to school, but none were seriously hurt in the
accident. The student who was hit by the bus has been hospitalized.
Investigators for the Broward County
Sheriff’s Office say they are still trying to determine what happened.
The accident happened at about 7:20 a.m. near Oakland Park Boulevard and
31st Avenue in Lauderdale Lakes.
BSO said the bus was traveling slowly
when the student was hit. There is no immediate explanation as to why
the student was in front of the bus.
Six children aboard the bus received
minor injuries, and were taken to Plantation General Hospital as a
precaution. The 16 year old victim was transported to Holy Cross
Hospital. Police could not say what middle school the students attend.
The name of the student hit by the bus
was not immediately available.
