School Bus Accident Knocks Out Power

Several hundred homes are without power after a school bus
accident in Shaler.
A spokesperson for
Duquesne Light reports a school bus carrying first and second
graders apparently lost control and knocked over a pole along
Winterhaven Drive. |

over a power line |
The children were headed to
Marzolf Elementary school.
Wires from the pole
reportedly fell on the bus, but no one was hurt.
Duquesne Light crews remain
at the scene, but they are waiting for Verizon, which owns the pole and
must replace it.
