Attendant Killed In School Bus Accident

PHILADELPHIA Police said a school bus attendant was struck and killed by a school bus in North Philadelphia Tuesday morning.

Authorities said the accident occurred as the bus was leaving the Widner bus garage for the School District of Philadelphia near Ogontz and West Olney Avenues.

No students were inside the bus at the time of the crash.

The depot was shut down while police investigated the cause of the deadly accident. Approximately 80 routes were affected by the closure. Buses on those routes were running an hour late.
