SCHOOL BUS CRASH REPORTS 2007

School Bus Accident Tazewell County

TAZEWELL COUNTY -- Pekin Police and the Tazewell County Sheriff's Department are investigating a school bus accident.

The Midwest Central Middle School bus had about 25 kids on it at the time of the crash.

It happened around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon on Towerline Rd. near Straub Rd.

Police say the bus driver lost control and slid into a ditch.

Seven kids were taken to Pekin Hospital with minor injuries, although school officials tell HOI 19 some of them did have broken bones.

Police say the slick roads are to blame.
