Bellbrook School Bus Strikes Light Pole
January 30, 2007

BELLBROOK, Ohio -- Firefighters and rescue crews rushed to Bellbrook High School after a school but was hit by a light pole in the parking lot.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday at the end of the school day.

Officials said 14 students were on board the bus but none of them were injured. Investigators said bus 35 was trying to turn when the driver thought he saw a student and made the turn, hoping not to hit the person and struck a light pole.

Authorities said there were no students on that bus, but there were 14 students on bus 8 that was hit by the light pole that came crashing down on it.

The Ohio State Patrol is going to inspect both of the buses before they are put back in service.
