Four Hurt in Crash With School Bus
April 10, 2007
At least four people were injured Tuesday
afternoon when a car reportedly rear-ended a school bus traveling
southbound on State Road A1A in Indian Harbour Beach.
The accident happened around 4:15 p.m.
near the Palm Springs Boulevard intersection.
The driver of the car suffered serious
injuries and was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.
Three other occupants in the car who were all children received minor
injuries, Orlando Dominguez of Brevard County Fire-Rescue said.
The six students on the bus and their
driver were not injured.
“The car went under the bus,” said Lt.
Gary Windham “The windshield caved in on her.”
The bus was reportedly carrying students
from Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School of the Arts on Merritt
Island. The accident scene had been cleared by 5:15 p.m.
