Child Dies in School Bus Accident in Union
February 12, 2007

A school bus accident in Union Parish this afternoon claimed the life of a child.

Superintendent Judy Mabry confirmed that the accident occurred on Littleton-Loop Road in the Point Wilhite community. State police and Union sheriff's deputies were working the accident. No other details were being released.

The child may have been a student in the Downsville area, although Mabry would not confirm that.
