Attendant Identified In Deadly Bus
Accident in Philadelphia
February 7, 2007
Philadelphia officials identified the
attendant struck and killed at a school bus yard in northeast
Philadelphia Tuesday as 55-year-old June Brown.
She was from the city's West
Kensington section.
Officials say she had been a bus
attendant for 18 years and also worked as an aide at the Andrew J.
Morrison Elementary School.
Authorities said Brown was hit by two
buses around 6 a.m. at the Widener bus garage, one of four school
bus garages in the city. The accident caused lengthy delays for
students on about 90 routes on one of the coldest mornings of the
year.
Police are trying to determine the
sequence of events leading to the accident.
