Early Morning School Bus Accident
Sends Eight For Treatment
May 3, 2007
A Brenham Independent School District
bus, stopped to pick up a student near the Carlee Drive intersection
with S. Chappell Hill St. at 7:15 a.m. today, was struck from the rear
by a vehicle.
A toal of eight students went to Trinity
Medical Center for further treatment — four taken by EMS ambulance and
four others by private vehicle. All were released during the course of
the morning.
At 9 a.m. today, Director of Student
Services Jon Forsythe praised the quick and thorough response of
Washington County EMS, which sent four ambulances to the scene and
checked out everyone involved in the incident.
Forsythe said all of the students who
didn’t go to TMC’s emergency room for treatment went on to morning
classes at their respective schools campuses.
