Fatal Accident Involving School Bus

Authorities say one person was killed in an accident involving a Randolph County school bus and another vehicle.

Randolph County, NC -- One person was killed when a school bus collided with another vehicle on Tuesday morning.

Authorities tell WFMY News 2 the accident happened around 6:15 am on Old Highway 421 near Bowman Dairy Road.

Only a driver and a monitor were on board the bus, which was used to transport special needs children in the Randolph County school system.

The driver of the vehicle was killed in the crash.
