Seven Students Suffer Minor Injuries
in School Bus Accident in Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES -- A Boyd Anderson High
School student, 16, and six middle school pupils were taken to hospitals
with minor injuries Friday morning a school bus crash, authorities said.
The school bus was loaded with students
en route to Lauderdale Lakes Middle School when it struck the
16-year-old boy walking to Boyd Anderson about 7:20 a.m. at Oakland Park
Boulevard and Northwest 31st Avenue, said Marsy Smith, a spokeswoman for
Broward schools.
The bus was moving slowly when the crash
occurred, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office news release.
Paramedics took the high school student
to Holy Cross Hospital, but his injuries were not serious, Smith said.
Six students who were on the bus complained of pain and were taken to
Plantation General Hospital as a precaution, the Sheriff's Office said.
