Kids Okay After Lawrence School Bus Accident

The driver of a car was critically injured and eight students on a Lawrence Township school bus slightly injured in a traffic crash today on Pendleton Pike in far northeast Marion County.

The man driving the Mitsubishi four-door sedan was taken to Methodist Hospital after the two-vehicle crash at the intersection with Thunderbird Road, about a quarter mile west of German Church Road.

The injured children were taken to Community Hospitals North and East. The bus was carrying 35 students and the bus driver from the nearby Amy Beverland School, 11650 Fox Road.
