Missouri School Bus Accident Leaves Three Children Hurt
February 26, 2007

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. (AP) -- Three children are being treated for moderate injuries after their school bus was in an accident that could've been a lot worse.

Authorities in Jefferson County, Missouri, say the bus flipped onto its side and went into a creek bed. Investigators say one of the tires apparently went off the edge of the road this morning, and the driver couldn't regain control.

Nine kids, ranging from kindergartners to sixth-graders, were aboard at the time. Three have bumps, bruises and possibly some broken bones. The other children, plus the driver, were taken to a hospital to be checked.
