SCHOOL BUS CRASH REPORTS 2007

Mobile County School Bus Accident
May 8, 2007

An intense day and night for students, parents and school employees in North Mobile County.

A school bus overturned in Saraland Tuesday afternoon. Four people were rushed to the hospital.

The Mobile County school bus wrecked on Interstate 65 near Celeste Road. The bus flipped over and landed in the median.

Saraland Police are not saying how the accident happened.

The bus was carrying students from Adams Middle School and Satsuma High School.

Most of the students had been dropped off when the bus wrecked.

Only a teacher's aide, two students and the bus driver were on board. All were taken to the USA Medical Center.

The school bus driver is in fair condition with fractured ribs.

The Mobile School System says one student may have a broken arm and the other may have a broken finger.

The teacher's aide seems to be okay.
