SCHOOL BUS CRASH REPORTS 2007

School Bus Accident Missouri
February 6, 2007

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Sikeston Rescue Squad clean up after a school bus and a vehicle accident Monday afternoon.

A Bernie man was seriously injured in the accident after his vehicle was struck by the bus.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 4 p.m. on US 60 at Route FF, two miles west of Sikeston, an accident occurred as northbound motorist Carl A. Counts, 25, of Sikeston, who was operating a school bus, failed to yield and pulled into the path of the westbound vehicle driven by Derek D. Craft, 24, of Bernie.

The school bus was carrying no passengers.

Craft was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Counts was reportedly uninjured.
