Several Injured In School Bus Mishap

PHOENIX -- Several people were injured
Thursday afternoon when a school bus on its way to get some special
needs students was clipped by a pickup truck in the West Valley, police
said.
The accident at Olive Avenue and
Litchfield Road in the West Valley sent the bus swerving, officers said.
When the driver over-corrected, the
vehicle rolled over on its side, according to police.
No children were on the Litchfield
Elementary School District bus, authorities said. However, the driver
and two bus aides on the vehicle received minor injuries.
A man, pregnant woman and a 1-year-old on
the truck also received very minor injuries, police said.
There is no word yet on what sparked the
accident or who was to blame.
