School Bus Hit, Children OK

TAYLOR MILL – A Kenton County School District bus was struck from behind at 4 p.m. today on Ky. 16. No one was injured in the incident, said Taylor Mill Officer Ken Honchell.

A full-sized van ran into the back of the bus as it slowed to take a right turn onto Sunset Drive.

There were five children and a driver in the bus at the time of the accident. The children were being taken home from Taylor Mill Elementary School. At least one parent picked up his child at the scene after hearing about the accident. The other children were placed on another bus by 4:30 p.m. and were on their way home.

Traffic was slowed on Ky. 16 but still moving. Honchell said the driver of the van will not be cited.
