SCHOOL BUS CRASH REPORTS 2007

Travel Advisory for Northern Cayuga County; School Bus Overturns
(These uninjured children had seatbelts on their bus!)
January 29, 2007

The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office has issued a travel advisory for northern Cayuga County because of snow falling at a rate up to five inches per hour.

Traffic should be limited to emergency vehicles or absolutely necessary travel, Sheriff David Gould said. The advisory will be in effect until 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Lake-effect snow is severely affecting Cato, Fair Haven, Ira, Sterling and Victory.

A Red Creek Central School District bus tipped over around 2:40 p.m. on Crane Road in Sterling. Only minor injuries resulted, the New York State Police in Wolcott reported.

The state police reported patrol officers were just going from accident to accident Monday.
