SCHOOL BUS CRASH

School Bus is Rear-Ended
March 26, 2007
| More than a dozen
students headed to the hospital this afternoon after the bus
they were riding in was rear ended by a truck.
The bus, carrying 42 students from
Marshpoint and Islands elementary schools, was coming over the
Thunderbolt bridge and was hit at the intersection of Victory
and River drive. |

Thunderbolt police say the driver of the
truck said he had trouble stopping.
Police say 17 students were taken to the
hospital.
School district officials say the
children were complaining of bumps and bruises.
Traffic was backed up on Victory and over
the bridge as crews worked to clear the accident.
