SCHOOL BUS CRASH REPORTS 2007

Several Injured in Thomasville School Bus Accident
April 3, 2007

Bus Accident in Davidson County DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) -- Several students were injured in Thomasville, N.C., on Tuesday when, according to police, the school bus they were riding on ran a red light and hit a delivery van.

According to police, 12 children were taken to Thomasville Medical Center to be checked out. Paramedics arrived at the scene and treated some students, although injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Nellie Skeen, the driver of the bus, was given a ticket for running a red light.

The bus was carrying 60 students from Liberty Drive Elementary and Thomasville Primary School. The accident occurred at the intersection of Liberty Drive and Trinity Street.
