Topeka School Bus Accident Sends Two Kids to the Hospital
February 12, 2007

A school bus passing through the intersection at 6th and Washburn collides with another car Monday morning. The students were on their way to Highland Park Central about 8 a.m. when the accident occurred.

Two kids, a bus supervisor, and the bus driver were taken to the hospital with what are reported to be minor injuries.

Witnesses say that the car involved in the accident was heading east on 6th St. when it ran a red light and hit the bus, which was traveling south on on Washburn. The bus then veered off and hit a light pole. Police did say they believe the car was at fault in the accident.

The accident had blocked off traffic at 6th and Horne.
