Paula Goins is a third grade teacher
at the school and was on the bus, "We boarded the bus around 9:03
and we were traveling West bound. The kids were talking about what
they were going to do at the park and I looked up thinking that the
car will get over, surely she'll see us, after I had that thought we
had impact."
Two students with minor injuries were
taken to Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell. A teacher's aide and
the driver of the bus also received minor injuries and were taken to
the hospital. All four were treated and released.
The driver of the car was airlifted
to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She has been
identified as 35-year-old Jennifer Snodgrass. She is listed in
critical condition.
Authorities say charges against
Snodgrass are pending.
Altogether, 25 third and fourth grade
