REPORTS 2007
Student Injured in
Hill District Bus Accident
May 31, 2007
A girl was injured
yesterday in the Hill District when a minivan collided with a school
bus filled with 21 students from the Rogers Middle School for the
Creative and Performing Arts in
Garfield.
Police said the bus
was about half full when the van apparently hit the rear of the car
around 4:45 p.m. The van's driver told police that the bus came to an abrupt
stop at Wylie and Herron avenues.
The student was
taken to Children's Hospital after complaining of pain, police said.
Around the same
time yesterday afternoon, a car collided with a Port Authority bus
at Forbes Avenue and Jumonville Street. The car was fleeing gunfire,
police said. No one was injured in that incident.
