Conroe School Bus Ends Up On Side But No Serious Injuries Reported

A school bus carrying about 20 students and two coaches to a track meet north of Houston turned on its side in a ditch on Friday, but no serious injuries were reported.

Conroe Independent School District spokeswoman Nicole Segura said the bus carrying Caney Creek High School students and coaches to a meet at Oak Ridge High School turned on its side at 12:22 p.m.

Three students were taken to a Conroe hospital by ambulance, while a fourth student and coach were taken by a private car for treatment. KTRH in Houston reported that injuries ranged from a broken collarbone to cuts and bruises.

Identities of the injured students and coach and details about how the bus ended up on its side were not immediately available.

Segura said the rest of the students were taken back to Caney Creek High and their parents were informed of the accident.
