NATIONAL COALITION FOR SCHOOL BUS SAFETY
OUR MISSION

To help enhance school bus safety.
To increase awareness, encourage education and promote safety technologies including (but not limited to):
     a. Implementation of seatbelts and guidelines for their usage
     b. Implementation of 28 inch seat backs
     c. Implementation of swing-arms and/or electronic sensors
     d. Implementation of multiple supplemental emergency exits
     e. Utilization of strobe lights instead of conventional incandescents.
To serve as a library and data bank for information concerning safety on school buses.
To coordinate and network the efforts of people who are interested in improving safety on school buses.
To encourage and assist in the development of standardized educational materials (curriculum etc) on safety issues such as seatbelt usage for training of students, teachers, and drivers.
To encourage initiation of needed research, development, and testing of safety enhancing technologies.
To eliminate the utilization of non-conforming vehicles.
